Hi all,

I know there are not many on the baby name boards, but I find the babycenter boards too confusing now that they have changed them.  I like these boards better, as I have posted on the ultrasound prediction boards and the gender disappointment boards.  I am not disappointed with my 3rd baby girl on the way, we are all very excited, but we have a naming problem.  My husband does not want to talk about names until it is closer, I am due Feb 6.  But....... I can't help but think of names all the time.  We have a Jake, Sarah, and a Claire already and for this little girl I love the name Lila.  I need help figuring out a middle name.  Out last name ends in "ey" so I dont want anything rhyming.  What I have thought of so far is :

Lila Kathryn

Lila Kathleen (mil name and my deceased aunts name)

Lila ??????  HELP

I want some more options. Can anyone help???

Thanks,

Stephanie

I like using Kathleen because it has significance -- are there any other names in your family that you like?  I always think it's nice to honor someone, like a grandmother, with the middle name.

That aside --

     Lila Grace

     Lila Gayle

     Lila Margaret

     Lila Eve

     Lila Madison

Good luck... love the name Lila!  Happy Smile

I think Lila Kathleen sounds beautiful, and I also really like the family significance.

Lila Kathleen is pretty.  Of course I love the name Lila and my grandmother's name is Kathleen so I may be a bit partial...

Other middle names that I like with it are:

Lila Jane
Lila Kate
Lila Breann
Lila Rose
Lila Evelyn
Lila Grace
Lila Noelle

Congrats on your 3rd baby girl!!

How many syllables does your last name have? Sometimes, you have to sound it out to see what works. I do like Lila, a very pretty name. If you wanted a one syllable middle name, Brooke is an option. BTW, that's DD#2's middle name. Kathryn is a good choice, though. My middle name is  Marie, as much as I like the name, it has been overused.

Hi all,

Thanks for all you help.  I do like many of your selections.  I like the one syllable middle names as well as the longer ones because Lila is a short name.  My other daughters full names are Sarah Elizabeth and Claire Leanne and our last name is 2 syllables ending with "ey".

I will run Lila Kathleen by my husband as well as some of the other options which all sound good.  Thanks for all you help.  Good luck with your baby naming.  Is is so much harder than you imagine.

I am sorry to do this on you poll, but can someone tell me how to post a poll?  I followed the instructions, filled out my poll and pressed POST, but it does not post!  Any ideas?

I love the family significance of Lila Kathleen. Lila is my #1 girl name, hopefully we get to start tossing names around soon...our last name also ends in "y" so it knocks out a bunch of first names.
