How's this...

A neighbor I knew loved the name Aubrey. Her first (and only, she thought) child was a boy so that's what she named him. A few years later she got pregnant unexpectedly and named her daughter...Bree.

She still loved the name, I guess?!?!?

dream:

Melissa I LOVE LOVE the name August. If I ever had a 6th son I would name him August Whilder (But I am a house of A names like Allie above heheh... another A team Member) and I also love that your ideal family is 5 boys and one girl!! Most people are afraid of my family!

LOVE that you want 5 sons and one girl LOVE IT! GOOD LUCK! I hope you get your dream. It is a GOOD ONE

Thanks for your support, Deena. I noticed you have my "dream" fam... Happy LOL I get a lot of mixed reviews on August's name... especially since he was born in June, LOL. Oh well, it means "Great" and that is what he is! My name prerequisites are that the name has to be 6 letters and 2 syllables.

How far apart are your children.... (I'm so jealous... but I guess I have time... still a work in progress)

I think Elijah and Eleanor sound great together, and Eli and Ella are enough different in sound, although it would be very confusing to my mom who can never call anyone by the right name even if they sound nothing alike!

I knew someone who named her kids Josiah and Josie. I thought that was a little weird. But the weirdest things can happen later in life no matter what you name your kids. My parents names are very much alike, to the extent that they had the same nickname growing up! And my MIL has the exact same first and middle name as my FIL's sister, who never married, so they have the same last name too! Now that gets really confusing!

as long as they aren't too close I think it is cute. Eli and Ella sound pretty close though. I have Dominik and Damien and this baby will be Delila. They all start and end different and I think that is important to distinguish them, if that makes any sense.

My oldest and youngest DSs names kinda rhyme, not truly, but they sound a lot alike....My oldest HATES it. If I call one, they both answer or come running to me. I thought that since they were so far apart in age it wouldn't make too much of a difference....wrong. I think it's cute until you go on to have a 3rd or 4th kid...then you've set yourself up for a pattern that's hard to keep up with.

I think it depends on the names.  Michelle and Michael are femine/masculine versions but to me don't sound that close.  But others I think I'd need an example first before I decided.
