How to deal this summer

My dh's cousin and his wife recently had a girl after two boys.  This summer there are many family events in which we'll be seeing them.  Dh is very close with his cousin and I certainly don't want to hurt his relationship with him and of course I'll go to the events.  But it is going to be really hard for me to see them.  My mil already says she can't wait to see the new baby girl.   Has anyone else been in a situation like this?  Any advice on how to deal?

I have advice!!!

My dd was born a month after my cousins son was born.

I never wanted a boy so I was thrilled to have my girl! However, she did want a girl and Im sure she must have dreaded seeing me and my daughter at the family cookout but she dressed that little boy SOOOOOOOOOO cute that everyone was swooning over him and my dd was pissed about being in a scratchy pink tutu haha

I had to take off the tutu (which gave her a horrible rash) she was all blotchy and disheveled while little man over there looked like a strapping english gent in his polo onsie, plaid shorts, and newsboy cap. haha

My advice!....OUTDRESS HER! lol it worked for my cousin lol!!!!

 Well just remember that yes she has a girl but its not your baby girl KWIM? I find that if i hear of someone getting a girl after a boy I will get insanly jealous but when I actually see the child meh...I don't feel envy at all.  I mean yes babies are cute and all but its not my baby, it doesn't look like me and I happen to find my boys cuter than any kid out there Ha! Plus I am always happy that I am not the one getting up to feed that baby in the middle of the night! 

You could also get new super cute outfits for your boys or yourself for that matter. We mommies always tend to forget about ourselves. When I look good I just feel better about my life in general! Good luck.

I was going to say the same thing - dress them to kill. Nothing cuter than 2 cute brothers!
