At the 12 week u/s the baby was lying fairly low down by my pubic bone, with it's head sort of below and very slightly to the right of my belly button, and it's legs and feet stretching out towards my right side. She said my placenta was posterior, but I don't know what side it's on, and I don't know if the baby was facing my back or my front (or up or down for that matter!). Does that mean my placenta is on the right side as well? Or is it on the opposite side the baby is on, so on the left? Did anyone have a DD whose heartbeat was usually found more slightly to the right of your tummy in the first trimester? Any helpful hints here would be greatly appreciated!
