PGD if carrier of CF

Does anyone know if PGD would be covered under insurance if one parent is a carrier of CF? If so, would they then also cover the IVF since they have to be done together? Thanks fo any info!

Both parents have to be carriers. For a baby to actually get CF both parents have to be a carrier. If only one parent is a carrier they could pass on the gene but the actual baby will not have CF. My friend and her husband were both carriers and did do IVF covered by insurance. They do look at the genetics to make sure the baby will not have CF but I don't know it it would cover finding out gender.
