Just got this email from GIVF today. http://www.microsort.net/

No more USA Microsort and No premarket approval either. The whole thing gets filed away at the FDA for years and years while they decide what to do with all the data. So much for speedy 6 month approval process.

PS. Dear HRC & GIVF: Thanks for keeping all of my $1200 Microsort consult fees/application money and putting me on a waitlist that was never going to be honored. Mad Furious

I am SO SO Sorry you lost out with them. They suck!! They got us for $350 and 3 years of precious wasted time!!!! I would hope they refund you. This has been the sketchiest deal out there and I'm sorry so many fell victim to them.

Moving onto IVF/PGD now but yeah...it sucks!

Had HRC or GIVF shown an ounce of courtesy, we would have signed up for one of their IVF/PGD multi-cycle plans, but they lost us as customers because of the lousy way we were treated.

Have you decided where you are doing IVF/PGD? Are you going to Mexico?

Baby Boy (7/08) (1/11) <--swayed for girl using Shettle's

Age: 40
AMH: 0.84
FSH: 12

IVF with PGD Round One:
11/23/12 - ER, 25 eggs retrieved
11/24/12 - Out of 25 eggs retrieved, 21 were mature and 15 fertilized normally
11/29/12 - 6 embryos biopsied and sent off for PGD
12/12/12 - 4 abnormal, 1 inconclusive, 1 boy - no transfer :(

IVF with PGD Round Two:
02/15/13 - ER, 26 eggs retrieved
02/16/13 - Out of 26 eggs retrieved, 21 were mature and 18 fertilized normally
02/21/13 - Only 3 survived. 4 biopsied and sent off for PGD (including the 1 inconclusive from last time).
02/26/13 - 3 abnormal, 1 boy - no transfer :(

whitney, I just completed my IVF/PGD cycle at home and trust me when I say you do not want to use them. What can I say other than don't believe anything you read about such n such "great doctor" on the internet. I'm so skeptical of any RE now. They all want your business and then backpeddal when you are not textbook.

I feel like I should post what happened on Ingender but I don't want to come off sounding as BITTER even though I am bitter! Sad

Heard plenty of "bad RE" stories before and they are always interesting! It's so, so sad they are so common. They should be the most sensitive doctors out there and are often the least.

I'd love to hear it too! I am trying to soak up all of the info, and our stories are very similar. I feel I will be following in your footsteps. I've been following you :D. We are hoping to go to Mexico this summer. I am just waiting for my son to wean and my cycles to regulate. Do you think you'll do MS/PGD/IVF in Mexico?

PurpleCat, you have no idea!!! They're all nice when you first meet them, but when you get involved and emotionally attached to what you are doing, they completely drop all compassion (especially once they have your money!!!) Add us to the horror stories of a local (to me) clinic that is supposed to be "top in their field". Basically it all comes back to the childless 20-somethings working there that have no work ethics, morals, or bedside manner.
