LTB, I agree it's cute my kids want a sister! I love it that they're helping me pray for her (well, the youngest is too young to help with that).

I totally understand not being able to wait to find out the pink or blue news until labor, but I can't imagine if I was told it was a girl and then it wasn't.... and I don't think I could cope with finding out it's a boy until I meet him. My youngest boy was born and no one knew his gender until he and I had bonded for a good 15 minutes! I was already so in love with him from all our snuggles that I didn't even get GD until many months later, and only very mild. I'm certainly hoping that if I have another boy that I can deal with it as well as I did last time. It was amazing. I think it helped to finally have my perfect birth after two nightmarish births. (Last baby was born underwater, out of hospital, I caught him myself, my voice was the first he heard and my hands were the first to touch him. No one told me he was a boy, I discovered it for myself when I was ready. Also, labor was short-ish and actually fun! I was laughing in between contractions, even through transition. You can't beat that!)

Freewill, I sure hope your BFN turns into a BFP in a few days! I've read that some babies don't implant until 12DPO, so there's no reason to completely give up hope.

My 5 yr old prays everynight for a sister. He keeps telling people "Mommys going to have a baby sister"..so that freaks everyone out for a second, until he says "not yet though",lol. I dont know how my DS2 will be with a baby, he loves babies, so Imhoping thats good.

LTB, Yay!! Its so nice to have girls like you to go through all this with! I have a short phase after O, normally only 13 days, hopefully that continues, but who knows right?!

I dont think I will be able to stop myself from finding out the gender, we found out with both boys.DS2 I did have some GD, I knew he was a girl, we didnt even have a boys name picked out!Lol, so after we named him about a week later, and I bought some boy stuff, and I was excited again. Peoples comments would get me down sometimes, but I was still excited:)

Luv and LTB, im right there with you, im cd4 now. I will also find out via u/s. Im a bit obsessed when it comes to that, i do the whole intelligender and gendermaker pee sticks. I also go for early 3d u/s at 15 weeks for gender determination. Im just so impatient its soo hard to wait til 20 weeks. LOL.

My 5yr was in line at school and in front of all the other parents says "im going to have a sister". I was horrified lol, we had just started trying that month. I said out loud we will see honey. Lmao, they prolly think im already prego. I like to pretend that hes somehow psychic and knows a girl is coming my way, lol. Lets hope we all get our girls!! Pink dust to us!

My husband thinks swaying is pretty silly, well as far as the ions, diet,ph etc. But he does believe the timing may play a factor. I'm not really into all the ions, moon phases, solar flares and that Chinese calendar was wrong for me with my son, but I'm doing the diet, taking the supplements and timing ovulation, the best I can.

I had myself convinced that my 2nd son was a girl, I'm glad I found out he wasn't at the 20 week ultrasound. I cried for a few days and then bought a few more boy things to help me get excited about it. When we get pg with our 3rd baby, I'd like to find out again so that my first feelings after the birth aren't disappointment and sadness if it's my 3rd boy. I'd like time to wrap my head around never having a daughter and then move on with my boys before the last baby even gets here. I'm visualizing hearing the words "It's a girl" at the next ultrasound, I'm hoping positive visualization will help :)

Hi xxiiii! I think you might be the person I messaged on baby center. Happy Smile  I'm right there with you...my hubby thinks most of the swaying methods are pretty silly and he thinks timing and bd position MIGHT play a factor.  I'm not doing anything too extreme right now.  I keep reading a lot about Sylk, Rephresh, and Replens but I haven't purchased any of them.  I can't decide.  I think I might have messed my chance up on timing this month.  I thought I was suppose to O today but I didn't get a +OPK and my CM is not looking like raw egg whites. I guess I have to wait and see.  This is all pretty new to me.

Mrsbap O can occur anytime but I heard it's common for it to occur the same time ur previous period began. I've found this to be true for me. So, my last period started around 10am and I anticipate to O around 10am!

Well, AF started around 3am on 6/13 so if I go by that, it should have been here early this morning. Dang it! Well, 3:00am isn't a good time for me anyway if I do the O+12 because hubby and I will be at work at that time. lol

My O seemed to happen at the same time as my previous AF! I found that a very useful tip. Usually my AF starts in the morning about an hour after I get up, and 12 hours later than that is usually a great time for DH and I to BD!

I certainly agree about the first 2ww being hard too! I almost find it harder, but it's not as exciting. Although I was THRILLED when we finally got to DTD! We had over 3 weeks abstinence (it wasn't exactly planned that way), and I'm hoping that wasn't TOO long. Anyone know if that could cause a problem?

sew- I dont think abstaining can cause any issues other than lowering sperm count and making some swimmers not that mobile (but lots will still be) I am still curious to know if abstaining sways girl better than CFR. With CFR I think it's fresher sperm...but should still be 50/50 x and y. Do you all think with abstaining it's still 50/50 x and y, just a lowered count?

LTB - I thought I read that abstaining does increase the ratio of girl to boy sperm but I think it is only 52/48 after abstaining.  Has anyone else read that?  I can't remember where I saw that so now I'm second guess it.  I think you are right, FR or CFR will still be 50/50 but the count of sperm per mL will be much lower than usual.

My oldest did the same thing about telling people about getting a baby sister!  I did the same "we'll see, sweetie."  That was about 6 months or more ago, but they still ask about having a girl baby all the time.  DH and I aren't going to tell anyone about the pregnancy until at least our 12 week scan, in the hopes of having a gender guess by then.  If it is another boy, then we'll probably tell people that we couldn't tell the gender (same thing really did happen with DS2 even after 3 ultrasounds to check).  Hard to keep a secret though, especially since my husband's step-brother just announced her that his wife is pregnant today (due in January - I'll be due around March 1).

Baby Bear Boy'05, Baby Bear Boy'07, Baby Bear Boy'10 - got a bfp in June, baby Baby Bear Boy #4!
