I was so hoping I would be able to get a 12 week ultrasound like
most of the ladies on ingender. But when I called about blood results,
and to make my first appointment, they said they won't accept me for my
first appointment until I am 10 weeks along. Even then, it is just
"orientation" and "information" with a nurse.
I asked about when
I would get my first ultrasound and she said that in a typical
pregnancy, they don't give an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks. This made
me kinda sad that while most pregnant women get a 12 week I will not. I
think I am bummed I won't get to see the nub, and I won't get the
chance to guess the sex like most of you. :(
So how typical is this? Do most Dr's see their patients before 12-14 weeks? Do most Dr's order ultrasounds before 18 weeks?
