Little boys CAN be so sweet

I have 2 and a lot of days have bad gd wishing for a girl but today I wanted to post some sweet things they have said. My oldest (4yrs old) told me a few months ago "Mommy, Thanks you, for giving me Jack, that was the best gift ever. I love him so much, he is my best friend and all thanks to YOU mommy, you are the best". He always says "mommy, dolls are not my favorite but if you want to I will play dolls with you". I bought snow white blu ray recently very cheap, just to have and both will ask me (youngest is 2) to watch it and the 4yr old asked if we can buy Enchanted, sleeping beauty, the beauty and the beast and cinderella, "I know they are girl movies but it is ok, we will watch them with you cause you always watch our boy movies with us and it is only fair that we sometimes do stuff you like mommy!" My 4yr old is in a half day K program and next year he wants to stay home with me, cause "I don't want to be far from you mom", (my sil homeschools) "we can do school at home like auntie, and have play time and snack time and story time and then I can help you clean and cook and we can be best friends"

My 2yr old, says a lot of stuff but the ones about me are "momma, momma, I wuv you" and smiles... "momma you want pink baoon" (his jibberish for balloon) and the big hugs and kisses those I get from both but for some reason the ones from the little one are oh just soooooooo sweet. Maybe because the oldest is good with words....

  Boys are sweet, and I think the fact that they're trained by society to be tough and not sweet, even makes them that much sweeter when they show it.... if that makes sense.

Those are some precious boys you have!

Awww those are such kinds words from your sons, sounds like they really love their momma. I have been buying all those cartoon movies lately as well, not because I want my boys to watch them with me but because I grew up with them and love love "The Little Mermaid" and I just love it when my boys sit down and watch it with me without a fuss about me putting it on. Boys can be so incredibly sweet!!

BTW I have been looking everywhere for Beauty and the Beast and can't find it

of course little boys are sweet they are children LOL all children are sweet regardless of gender lol

They sound lovely! mine are the same they always say such lovely stuff to me

As for the movies i wouldnt class them as girls ones hun My boys love enchanted and all the disney films they really love Tinkerbelle movie at the moment Just to add Girls are sweet too :) i know this is about boys but i dont want to leave her out  and as i said all children are sweet anyway :) :)

your little men sound adorable what a lovely thing to say about his brother i know mine are so excited about this new baby comming makes so special dosent it :)

Your boys warm my heart, as do mine.

As a mom who didn't want 2 boys, I couldn't love them more and wouldn't trade them for anything in the whole wide world.

  I know what you mean and I totally agree.Yesterday when I picked up DS2 from school he was crying, his teacher told me that he was upset because half of the class got to make cakes that day and it wasn't his turn that time. I said to him "don't worry you will get a turn to make cakes next time" and he said "but I wanna make a cake for my mummy" Then on the way home he said "mummy I will make you a pink cake next time" I my boys

 Aw they sound so adorable. I love love my son (he is 2 and a half) and I have another little boy on the way (am almost 31 weeks pregnant). Logan always says to me that he 'lubs me' and I am his best friend and his girlfriend lol. He always wants mummy hugs and kisses and is a little sook (he actually calls himself a sook too lol). He thinks his baby 'brudder' is great and sometimes he points at his own tummy and tells me he is growing another little brudder in there for mummy (if only it was that easy, sigh). I also love the way he picks the hearts out of the bag of Haribo (you know those jelly sweets) and keeps them all for me, no matter how sticky and sullied they get. Hope this wee man is also a sweetie (and mixture, you are totally right girls can be so sweet too, but I guess society tends to paint little boys in such a way that they are rambuncious and loud and icky, when that is rarely the case). 

Awww, little boys are the sweetest little things.  I never wanted any boys.  Well, I never wanted any children, but I never expected the love and consideration I have gotten from my sons simply because it's not the way society portrays little boys.  Anyone who thinks little boys aren't sweet and loving has been horribly misled.  My boys would give me the world if they could.  They're always just as worried about me as I am them.  They bring me flowers, hugs, and smiles.  My 2nd son is constantly telling me all of the things he wants to build just to make my life easier.  My boys also will tell me they'll do something girly for me just because they think it's what I like.  I had no interest in boy stuff and can't really relate to all the boy things they want to do, but it's so much fun to watch them get excited about it.  They are boys and I let them be boys and that in itself has been a pretty amazing thing to watch.  Now that I've got them I couldn't imagine any of them not being a boy.  I always tell my DH that I think I had boys just to change the negative opinion I always held about little boys.  One of our neighbor girls is much, much more difficult, rowdy and annoying than any little boy I have ever met and I always expected little girls to be these sweet, passive little dears.

Yeah, I always get confused when people go off about how sweet girls are and how boys are rough and tough...not in my my world! If I were to describe my two kids without giving away any gender, my boy would top the charts on sweetness and love. He loves dancing and coloring and he is always considering my feelings. Yesterday he told me I wasn't a big girl, I was a big boy. I asked him why and he said "Mommy is nice like a boy not like a girl." I love my girl and never tell him that girls are bad (bc they are adorable too), I just thought his take on it was funny.

Sounds like your boys are absolutely adorable and I hope my boy becomes just like your 4-year old. I wish we were neighbors so my boy could have play-dates with your children

My son is 2 1/2 and is so sweet. He does throw a tantrum once in a while but I know thats normal with all kids. Just yesterday he asked me if I was feeling cold and I said yes and he gave me his blanket. He gives me a kiss every 15 minutes or so and tells me he loves me almost once every hr. When my DH pretends to be angry with me, he comes and gives me a hug. I love him to bits.

I know children ARE sweet regardless of gender but boys are always stereotyped as rowdy, tough, all around annoying and they are not like that. ALLl children have their moments of evil and sweetness, LOL.

I did not categorize the movies,LOL my son did. He categorizes movies into boy, girl, only kids and everyones, lol.

My little guy has his thanksgiving show tomorrow and he has been singing his songs for 2 weeks now and tells me "mommy I really hope you can come, I have learned my songs, made my costume and cooked our food because I want you to feel proud of me." Off course I am going to be there, I wouldn't miss it even if I was told I could only go claim a million dollar and baby girl prize ONLY at the same time as their program, LOL....

P.S. Girl mommies,  hope none of you thought I was saying girls weren't sweet, that is not what I meant, I just meant BOYS too are sweet!
