How much more am I suppose to take?

Not sure where to put this. I have so much stuff piled on top of each other I’m not sure how much more I can take.

First of all DH and I put TTC#3 on hold because of the economy.  This is upsetting because I really REALLY want a 3^rd.  While I know I will get a 3^rd someday, it is so hard to wait.

Then within the past week, two friends announced they are pg, two other friends just had baby girls, I had to mustard up the energy to throw a baby shower for another friend who, you guessed it is have a baby girl, I was invited to an ultrasound view party (WTF is that?) for another friend that is having a baby girl, my SIL told me yesterday that she pg, and the icing on the cake is my husband got laid off yesterday.

Really this is just getting insane!  Is this a test or something?  Because I’m on the verge of failing!

No great advice, just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you. Things will get better, but I know it is so hard to see that sometimes. Can you bow out of the baby shower planning at all? Can you tell them that you think you might be coming down with swine flu or something? That will definitely get you out of any responsibilities! Anyway, sending lots of pt's your way that things are looking up soon, and that your DH finds work

 The baby shower was already this past week so I had to suffer through it.  It was great!  Really....I really enjoyed this comment from one of the guest "When I was pg with a girl everyone told me how much fun it was compared to a boy.  I didn't believe them until I had a boy and they are so right!!!"  That was talking directly to me a mother of two boys!  Thanks!!!

 Maybe I can use the swine flu excuse to get out of the U/S viewing party!

I'm really sorry about your dh getting laid off! That really sucks. I hope he can find something quickly, but you're right that now (with dh not having a job) may not be the best time to get pregnant again. I totally get the disappointment. I have three friends now all pregnant with girls, while I'm having a boy. One of them just found out on Th and posted this excited announcement on FB, and I just wanted to cry. I was so jealous. It doesn't seem fair.

This year my DH got laid off and, our adoption application expired (because of the layoff) and we are losing our house (ditto the layoff) to foreclosure. 2009 CAN SUCK IT! I am praying that 2010 is better for both of us!

WOW, 2009 did suck big time for you.  I'm praying that 2010 is a million times better for you!

Yes I know getting pg right now is not a good idea AT ALL!  It just stinks because now all our plans are out the window.  The good thing is my husband's company is being really great to him.  He will have a pay check through the end of the year.  The field he works in is faily small so he already has feelers out there for a new job.  The bad thing is it may mean moving to a new city and you know in this economy we will never be able to sell our house and who knows if we can rent it out.  But we keep saying at least we have each other and our boys.  I know as long as we have each other we will be ok.  Hubby is actual in a pretty good mood about this all.  Who knows maybe I'll go back to work and he will the stay at home dad!

 As for the U/S viewing party I'm still dumbfounded at the idea in general!  Really what is that all about?

SO sorry you are going through this.  I remember when I had my first son, my best friend had been struggling with infertility for 3 years.  She unselfishly offered to throw me my baby shower.  I was a little young and immature and didn't really understand back then how hard that was for her.  I look back at it now and am amazed at her. It sounds like you are also that kind of friend!  HOWEVER,  Ultrasound viewing party?????  That is a no-brainer- skip it!!  Hoping your husband gets a new job soon, and that 2010 is great!
