Something my son told his teacher today... I hope he's right..
|
|
I go to pick up my son today from class, and his teacher rushes up to me and puts her arm around me and tells me " Nick told me today that mommy is going to have another baby and the baby is going to be a baby girl" 'And so I asked Nick who was going to give your family this baby? He continues and says 'God is giving her a baby girl ' !@!!@!@!@ This is what my 4 year old said to his teacher today!! Where it came from I have no clue. He has no idea about our first baby loss, stillborn girl. We've never even mentioned that to him. The only thing I've ever mentioned about babies is I've asked him if he wants another baby and he tells me yes and he wants a sister. But, I thought it was very profound for a 4 year old to tell his teacher that God is going to give me a baby girl. I hope my son has this knowing that I don't have .... I hope he knows something I don't. I can't help it to hope this is a message .. Has anyone on this board had a child who has been able to know this about a future gender?

I think infants and toddlers are very close to the spirit world. Before I even became pregnant with my 2nd DD, my first DD said out of the blue a lot "I'm getting a baby sister." So I'd say there's a really good chance your son is right, but don't get your heart set on it.

That's fantastic! I also agree kids seems to know better than we do! My 4 y/o is confusing me though! He tells me the baby is a boy, and that the baby is a baby sister NOT a baby brother. Ok then!

Our neighbors son just turned 5 and he has said from the begining his mom was gonna have aboy. When she got home from her ultrasound and she told him it was a boy he said "i already knew, god told me. you didnt need to tell me."
Also my son kept telling me my 2nd was gonna be a boy, he was right. Now he is saying next its gonna be a girl, lets hope he's right again! lol.

I've heard this before! That is an "old wive's tale" (although may be true!) that toddlers know the sex of babies! I tested this out with my nephew (4 at the time) when I was pg. (didn't know gender at the time) and he said girl! Sure enough, he was right! lol (and there are many boys born on that side of the family, so that was interesting!) I pray he is right for you!! GL and I hope you hear pink! (<--- eta: just re-read op: whoops, sorry, i was under the assumption u were pg. again. , but i do pray u hear pink again in the future!....and terribly, terribly sorry about your precious loss ) xoxo

I know of someone who struggled for years with infertility. She had two children through IVF and tried for a third but finally ran out of money and gave up. Sometime later, her five-year-old daughter told her that she was pregnant with a baby girl. I believe she said that God had told her that she would have a baby sister. The mom tried to explain that this was not possible. It turned out that the little girl was right! The mom actually was already pregnant with their third child, a baby girl!

When I was pregnant with my 3rd my 5 yr old at the time said I was having 2 babies a boy and girl. He went into detail about how before he was born he picked them out in heaven. I had my 3rd DS, maybe the DD will be next!! Their hearts are so pure you can't help but believe them. When I told him that there was just one and that it was a boy he said that he gave the girl to my friend, 9 months later she had a girl.

I think thats lovely and fantastic, and I think theres a good chance he is right as they usually are!! but I was kind of wondering why the teacher asked "who is going to give your family the baby" I was just thinking, what is that supposed to mean? maybe Im reading too far into it but I took it to mean something else.

I hope your ds is on to something there !! I lost a baby girl in pregnancy too and she is never talked about ever... not even when my boys are around . My eldest who is nearly 4 has however mentioned his sister a few times (shes brought him things, hes' looked at place in room and said whose that girl etc.) which brings me so much comfort even though i pretend not to know what he talking about, and although he was telling everyone i was having a girl with my ds2 , he has since said to me 'don't worry mum we'll have a girl next time!' which makes me laugh, i just wish it were that simple
