I think it starts to rise around 12+ wks or so, and after 13+wks it's pretty accurate. The further along you are, the more accurate. But, after 14/15 wks, we also need a potty shot for gender determination, and even then it can be wrong!

the bleach test is just the same as the baking soda test. you add equal parts of bleach to fmu. if it foams up like beer you get a boy and boy oh boy did mine foam. im glad i had it in the sink. if it does nothing its a girl.

the iris test is little candy canes . go look in the mirror and pull down your lower eye lid. right smack in the middle is 6o'clock. if you see little veins or candy cane shaped hooks at 5 and 7o'clock in your left eye its a boy, right eye its a girl.. if you see them in both eyes they say its still a girl. i only had them in the left eye and its a boy!

rememeber its only for fun so its not set in stone or anything, these just worked for me. the baking soda test gave me girl results, so did drano, cabbage, intelligender, some seed test i read about, a palm reader, and old wives tales. needless to say i was convinced it was a girl. let me know what they say for you.

DreamingofXX - I know!! Im sooo curious!! such a long wait until next scan! Im going for a check up next week, maybe the dr here will give me an idea? Put my mind to rest a bit hehe

So, curiousity got the best of me (and i was bored) Lol I did this stupid test and of course i got NO FIZZ!
even though, it's only for fun.. when you are so desperate for a certain gender, you will believe anything! Lol

I, of course, hope it's right for me. Lol only time will tell!

i did every single test imaginable this time.all came up girl. the only ones that worked for me were the bleach test and the iris test. both gave me boy results. but remember they are all just for fun.

Agreed. I did it quite a few times this go around.. and no fizz ever.. and we are having a boy.

Well, with my last child. I did it several times with FMU, and I never had fizz.

No fizz= girl, right? Well, my little "girl" very much has a penis. Lol

I would only do it for fun. Don't get your hopes up either way. I did. It sucked!

I would say it's not accurate. More of a old wife's tale than anything.
