Same Pregnancy Symptoms as Mom= Same Gender?!

So, I have no scientific basis for this, just mere speculation and its really just for fun, but I am just curious did/does anyone share similar pregnancy symptoms with their own mom and have the same gender?

My mom told me that when she was pregnant with my little brother, she had very little nausea, craved spicy things/meat/cheese, and just had very opposite symptoms from her pregnancies with myself and my sister. She said that the biggest difference between her girls/boy pregnancies was the nausea part. I share pretty much the exact symptoms my mom had when she was pregnant with my brother...little nausea, craving spicy things and hot dogs, friend onion rings ( junk!), and this pregnancy is completely opposite from the one with my daughter. Then my mother told me the day I announced my pregnancy, that my face looked " normal", whereas with my daughter it looked fuller from the beginning...so, she is convinced its a boy because I am giving off a different vibe. She told me last week, that her mother, my grandma, " knew" my mom was having a boy when she was pregnant with my brother...she even went out and bought a baby boy pregnancy greeting card, even though my mom had no idea what she was having. When my mom asked her why she was so convinced it was a boy, my grandma told her that it was because her face looked ' normal' from the beginning and not fuller compared to with me and my sister, and she was giving her a different vibe this time. Anyways....I am not so convinced about all this, I believe it was just a lucky guess personally But I guess I am a little obsessed looking for any sign of what gender this baby may be, and particularly looking for boy signs, even I they are OWT's lol.

Anyways, I am just curious for fun if anyone has a similar story to share!

13w.3 days U/S. I wanted to add that the bright bulb looking thing at the bottom is not an umbilical cord. The tech added color and made sure it was not the cord. Thanks for your guesses!! :). Please don't be shy ladies.. Please comment :).

Here is my U/S pic at 12 week 4 days.. , based on lmp but 13w 2 days measurement Boy? GIRL? .. Hamburger or hotdog? lol

the babies legs are up but facing left side. Teh genitals are in the middle. You may have to tilt head to the left a bit.. lol. THANKS for you guesses. If you can compare it to other images that would be great!

cravings , maybe an incy wincy chance they might mean boy?? :)

oh dear I am so sick this pregnancy. It is my third after two DD. i was slightly sick with the DD but omg this baby has really rocked my world so far. i am so ill i had to go on medication.

my cravings are rather strange- meat. meat. meat, meat meat and did i mention meat? and mandarins and get this- grapefruit!!! also fresh salads and crisp lettuce

with DD's it was sweets , musk sticks, marshmellows chocolate and lemonade, hot chips, takeaway. My DH thought he was being so kind and bought home some lemonade- I only just managed to get it down- it tastes like dirt!

ive read that there is some truth behind the morning sickness = girl theory so im hoping the cravings might mean im having a boy this time lol

any one else have a craving / gender story?

What is it about the boy diet that makes you gain weight? I gained 10lbs over the summer and I really want to lose weight but I am afraid because I heard losing weight sways girl. What should I do?? I also have two daughters and hoping to have the third to be a darling boy.

I gave up chocolate, drank lime water, ate salty foods and red meat, tracked my ovulation and ph level, stopped wearing silver and added gold on for some positive ions. March showed the Chinese calendar and biorhythm chart pointing to a baby boy.

We are going to find out the sex July 8th if baby will let us, but I would be good with another precious girl.

Is it really a boy?

I currently am 13 weeks going onto 14 & this actually is my first pregnancy. This is all new to me, i have so many questions i figured this would be the best place to ask them. First off when did everyone find out what they where having? Im DYING to know already, i buy things here & there but i would rather know already so i can start getting gender wise clothing & ETC. Secondly when do you start to feel the baby? I know my rugrat moves already but im dying to be able to feel it, honestly at times i feel like im not even pregnant but i know iam obviously lol. Im sorry i have so much i want to ask but dont even know where to begin!

Also i heard there are fun gender guessing myths to do, what are some? Just for kicks lol.

effect of antibiotics on me n dh while ttc boy??

Hi I had a sorethroat from last 3 4 days and I am on azithromycin from last 3 days and 2 more days to go with this antibiotic. But last night my husband got sick as well he got fever and itchy throat. So today dr prescribed him azithromycin as well but he also said it looks like viral so it may not effect that much. But he took the 1st dose today and its a 5 dat course. I am swaying for b oy and will ovulate about in a day or two. Will it effect on his sperm quantity ot quality?? Will it effect on me? I am so pissed of with this sickness as this is our 4th cycle of ttc. Please anyone heop me by giving advice. I want the results soon as my opk can any time from now turns positive. Thanx

I swayed boy but am scared to death i'm having a girl. I had really bad morning sickness w/ DD and just got my 1st dose of it today.

This pic was taken vaginally at 6 wks, 1 day. The nurse practitioner who did the scan said baby is on right side when I asked her but paused and had a confused look on her face.. so who knows

I will TTC in April and this time i want to try my right ovary as all my girls came from left ovary Today the doctor told me after sonograph (for 5 monthes )that my left ovary produces eggs while my right ovay produce nothing So i am very sad and depressed ................................. My question to you : Did your girls and boy came from the same ovary ?!

I have been doing tons of searching online for how to tell if you are having a girl or boy. One of the things I read said that the left ovary is more girl and the right ovary is more boy, but a lot of people are saying it was wrong for them.

I felt pains on my left side, so by this theory that would say girl.

I am hoping for a boy and hoping that all my effort for my sway will counteract any left side girlness.

Anyone know what side they ovulated on and what gender they are having or had?

I would love a little boy to add to my 3 girl (daddy) family. I did post in ultrasounds, but didn't get many responses. I will get my anatomy scan on Jan.10. Swayed based on ovulation time, and basically increased salt and "boy friendly foods". I hope we are successful. Thanks for your time ladies and good luck wit your sways as well.

I just got my bfp on v-day. I wish I had never read that article on ramzis theory. I know lots of ladies say it didnt work for them, but with timing factors, mirror image details, etc, is it possible they just didnt have an accurate reading? I have had tons of pressure /pains/twinges etc on low left side ever scince ovulation, they have continued and the little sharp pains felt for sure like implantation pains, in fact at 12 dpo i still have that uncomfortable pressure in that one spot. If his theory holds true (and out of almost 6,000 preganacies he did it had that 97% sucess rate), I am worrying myself senceless. Have any of you had this be wrong with complete certainty? Of course my first ultrasound is set for 10 weeks, so according to the article I think they were all done early like 6 weeks, they said the placenta will move around throughout pregnancy some, so this was most accurate time. Anyone else wonder about this??
