Here's the explanation-we all know that soy iso is used in a similar manner to clomid for 5 cycle days and no more. There is a clear protocol for clomid use but none for soy.So what is important to remember is that there are two ways of taking it.If the individual has difficulty ovulating naturally then a higher dose is required but even then...it has to be started at a low dose = 80mg.....gradually building it up to 160/200mg.
If the person taking it can naturally ovulate but wants to take it for swaying and bringing on a stronger O.... Then you can take the lowest possible dose for all the 5 days =80mg.i hope it makes sense.Clomid regime generally is either cd3-7 or cd5-9.
Like clomid soy also helps with increasing LP but more so when taken cd2-6. I personally wouldn't recommend cd1-5 because eggs may be immature and resulting pregnancies may end in mc.

Re: Soy isoflavones

Srbaby, I have read the effect on the egg depends on when you take soy...1~5 increases your chance of multiple's 3~7 good quality egg's and 5~9 One great quality egg...I really didn't look into it much, but I saw alot of women taking it from 2~6 so just went with it...I plan to do that again. good luck at the O.B.

P.S. I would not take to much soy you risk not ovulationg at all I hear...I would personally start of 80mg and increase if you feel ok no headaches etc.

Re: Soy isoflavones

i almost forgot,, tommorow i am going to meet my obgyn and i will ask her for theHSG proedure ,, to see my tubes are open or not,,, lets see what she will recomend.

Re: Soy isoflavones

Thanks to all for answering my questions,,

so i think i am well equipped for my attempt with Soy and Eggs and what else,,,,,,

this time my cyccle was so short i ovulated on cd13 and lp was 9 days ,, so my new cyle started on 14th of june ,, i planned to attempt in july

but due to all these i think i am ovulating again in june .

one more question ladies, how mucch soy do you think i should take , i know that 100mg soy is equivalent to 50 mg of clomid.is 200mg of soy too much and how should i take it 200mg eacch dayfor 5 days or i shouldstart with small doses first,,

sorry i know i am asking too many questions

needalil prince , why the variation in the dose from day to day ,,, ?? sorry for hijacking your post :)
I got my SI from The Vitamin Shoppe -online...im not sure where you get it in the US...maybe someone else will chime in.
My diet is fine...i did cheat on few occasions when i felt frustrated with my messed up cycle(due to a sinus infection)....i should attempt in about 15-20 days if all goes well.
W.r.t eggwhites...first of all-check pH of the eggwhites and if it is optimal...you can wash them with soap(i also use dettol) and place them in the fridge.Remove prior to attempt and break open one of the...check pH...then use it as per the instructions in FAQ.
I suggest you read it thoroughly in faq...as there are few ways of using it...with instead cup/with syringe etc...see what suits you and hubby.

I tested ph to make sure it was right then pulled up 2ML of EW. 2ml and 2cc are the same measurements. I laid with hips propped and inserted the EW and allowed it to coat cervix and then DH and I DTD. Some ladies wait to insert until right before DH released but we tend to get caught up and would have forgotten. Besides none spilled out anyway. Just wanted to say something for a long time...thanks for being there for everyone even after your BFP....it takes a selfless soul to do this.Hope you get whatever you want in life effortlessly.

My O was actually delayed by 3 days, but I think it could have been due to my really bad cold.
