How many kids will you have?

When DH and I talked about how many we saw ourselves with, we said 3-4. He being more 3 and me being more 4. This was after our first. When we had a string of losses and I wasn't sure if my body could support another pregnancy, we said "at least two." Meaning we would go as far as surrogacy or adoption or IVF to have a second child. I have nothing against only children, but I wanted my son to have a sibling. And in all honesty, if I was told I could only have those two kids and no more (before we figured out it was a pretty simple problem), I would have desired a second boy for my son to have a brother. Although obviously with all the issues,I just wanted a healthy baby. Now that we know I can probably have " however many I want," we are thinking four might be our number. And gender doesn't much matter. I would love a girl...but I wont have a child we can't afford simply for gender. If I am meant to have four boys, that's what I'll have (but a little swaying doesn't hurt anyone! Lol)

My dream team was always 5. I will go to 4 (DP has agreed to 4). Whether there is a 5th remains to be seen. I love my 3, but like Babybleu my body takes a hammering in pregnancy. In all honesty, if DS3 had been a girl I'd probably be done. As it is, I will happily go for a 4th. In my ideal world I would get another boy and a girl, but we will see :-)

More than likely, we will stop at 2 if our next is a boy. If baby #2 is another girl, we will continue trying for a boy,but our absolute limit is 4 children. If it were up tp DH, we would stop at 2 regardless of gender, but he knows how badly I want a little boy, so he's agreed to keep going

Waiting4Daisy; I see our lo's are only a month apart and that we're both planning on ttc our next baby around the same time next year!

I really just wanted a daughter and a son. I really thought number two would be a girl but nope he is all boy. So i had too try again for a girl but no matter what three children is our max number.

HA you sound like me..didn't want ANY, then after one I said that's all I wanted.  When he turned one I had a stong desire for another and didn't want to have a "only child" BUT after I held #2 I knew I wanted three

i only ever wanted 2 boys but thats not what i got. things happen.. things change. i got 3 girls, then dh got snipped. we divorced. i remarried my husband has no children so we wanted one of our own.. preferably a boy... again  not what i got. but hey this is my family and i think we are great!

I have always wanted a big family, at least 3. When I did meet my husband we agree that we make 3 kids. I have always wanted as many as my husband accept. :) So 4, 5, 6 would be nice too. My dream family was lot of girls and one or two boys. 2 girls and 2 boys or 3 girls 1 boy would been perfect. Well. I have three boy´s now and maybe one more baby some day. But that is it. 4 is our maximum. My husband have been satisfied after two boy´s but I just wanted more. And of course I wanted so badly that girl. I´m sure our fourth is boy also, but it´s nice to have one more baby (if everything is going well) I hope I get that feeling in hospital, that this was the last baby in our family!

DH and I are both 27.  I would like to have 3 by the time I'm 31, and then maybe a 4th if it happens.  My ideal would be 5 but its just not financially possible unless I were to end up becoming a nurse practitioner.  DH is a cop and I'm a social worker going back for another degree in nursing, not sure we can afford a mortgage in the area we live for a home that would comfortably fit more than 3 or 4 kids.  For me, I would like to be done the baby stages by the time I'm 35 due to my career path and some other personal preferences. I also want my kids somewhat close in age. I asked my OB about getting my tubes tied as a hypothetical after my son is born in december and he said "no way, i know you well and have a feeling you will want another in a few years!"

I have always only ever wanted just the one (my dream is one ). I aren't the strongest of women and need a BIG operation abroad to even live! so yes, more than enough with one. I also couldn't afford more than that but will hopefully be at least a little better financially when I get my dream!!. I am an only child myself and tbh loved it!! so, hopefully, he will too. Time will tell........................

I have 3 girls now 8, 5 and 3 am 37 and if we lucky enough to have another that will be it so we will finish on 4 unless we get twins!!
