For those with 2-3 or more boys....

Just to let you know you have my dream family:). Everytime i see mums with loads of boys i get so jealous!! Please remember that when you see these people who give you 'pity looks'. If you bump in to me, you would get looks green with envy!! You guys are sooo lucky!! I loooooove boys and little brothers.

I have two! I know one person at least in real life who's dream family was two boys. She got two girls.

I try and think about people like her. I used to work with a lady who wanted a son so badly. She had a daughter who was in her teens and was past having any more herself and she used to tell me all the time that I had her dream family- 2 boys (didn't have DD then). Sometimes she'd look at pics of my boys and you could almost see the longing on her face. She helped to remind me that I was truly blessed.

 I had a lady recently tell me I had her "Dream team" and I must admit it made me feel good. I am now expecting boy #4 and while I desperately wanted a girl.. I am now trying to move on and enjoy my sons. 

 I hope and pray you get your son soon!   

Ah thank you...I've heard this a few times now and I'm always really surprised to hear women not bothered about having girls. Can I ask why? My friends has 1 son at the moment and is pg and terrified she won't get a boy again but can't really explain why she doesn't want a girl. It's strange, I've always just presumed girls would want at least one girl...my ideal was BBG

I think there are women ( myself included although I wanted a girl too) who can identify with boys better just as there are the girly types too. I grew up with brothers and male cousins and my mother died when I was young so I've never really had female influence. Although I have always wanted a girl, there is a part of me that is terrified of not giving her the female bond she needs because I'm not sure what a mother/daughter relationship is about. So I guess there are women out there that identify better with a certain gender but really I believe that as long as you love and protect your children that is all they need.

To ruby red: For me i just dont want all the drama i associate with girls. So and so took my barbie doll, i dont wana be ur friend anymore, etc etc. I am a very girly girl so people are surprised when i say i want boys only. Maybe because i grew up with so many neurotic and dramatic qualities i think i fear having to relive it through a daughter. I am not close to my mum perhaps that plays a part? I just think when i see boys ans their mums it seems so much happier. All outdoorsy, muddy, laughing and wrestling. Dont get me wrong i dont think boy mums have it easy...its just that to me it seems less complicated and fraught than the neurotic and way too emotionally charged relationship i had with my mum. Guess i wana be one of those outdoorsy mums watching my son play football and wrestle in the mud.

My dream family was all boys and the number didn't matter, I never wanted a daughter. Here I have 3 DDs and will learn soon if it is another DD. I think I never wanted a DD because I was such a tom boy and never understood the girly girl stuff. I had to learn to accept it and love my DDs so much.

Aaawww, well I'm with you (only I dream of just one ). I associate (some..NOT all...I wasn't) girls with being catty and bitchy and all the drama as you say. I want a boy very much....yes!, a handsome boy in my house to spoil sounds perfect! . Good luck to you all in getting your dream or .

 i have two boys, and i am hoping this baby due in decemebr is a boy as well.it doesn't make any sence, but when i see a mother at a park, with more than 3 boys, i get so jealous, even though i have boys, its so weird. i know how you feel :( 

Thank you for the kind words. My hubby and I have 4 boys and looks to be another on the way this November 11th. I must admit I am a very girly girl and I did hope for a girl to relate to and have that relationship. I am having a difficult time ..but I just have to accept it. People are so hard to deal with when they ask me are you ok with all boys ...or ughhh I can't believe it not one girl or when I told my mother she said oh..ok... It's very hard still.

I have 5 DS s pg w a DD now but I have a cousin that was never dissapointed whenever I announced it was another boy..s she helped me feel great about having all my boys :) I'm a Girly girl so I always always dreamed of my own daughter..my relationship w my mom was always daughter friend.. I just always wanted a mother daughter relationship ...now im very nervous about how that's going to go ...w my boys the relationships all came so naturally and easy..

Just wanted to say to southernwife your picture is so beautiful, I have many of those pictures of when my boys were smaller.....they are 8 & 7 now, already I look back and I am so sad those days are gone.

I too agree boys are so wonderful, we forget sometimes don't we?  My boys are very easy, I don't understand why people say they are so hard!!!

I am so glad i came across this post! I usually don't comment on this site, but you girls touched me so much that i had too! Now i actually won't mind having a third boy running around the house! Thx ladies!
