Hi, I'm new to this website. I'm living in Ireland and am currently hoping to start ttc and sway for a girl. Would really appreciate ANY advice at all. We already have a dd and 4 ds. We are hoping for a big family and plan to have a few more if all goes well-I love being a mummy!!

Look forward to chatting to you all Happy

Hi! I'm new and have 4 boys too Happy I'm hoping for a chance to do IVF and DH is only ok with one more. You are so lucky to have a partner that agrees with a larger family. I wish you the best of luck!

Welcome! I'm new as well, although I've been on the girl diet for over a month. I love big families, I'm sure yours is awesome! Good luck with your sway!

Thanks so much girls :) Big families are great and I do feel very lucky that my DH wants lots of kids too. Our plan is to try a natural sway this time and then if it doesn't work we are heading down the IVF with PGD route.Am sooo hoping I can conceive a girl naturally though.Sewmuchfun, how are you finding the girl diet? Am about to get started myself. Good luck to you both-hope you will both get your little princess xxxx

I'm not finding the diet too bad as long as we're at home. Grocery shopping is easy since there are so few items to buy! Although it's hard at the grocery store seeing all the food you're craving and can't have. Visiting people is the hardest. We were at a birthday party a couple days ago and couldn't eat much, and had to watch everyone eat cake. If you have to go to a party or anything like that I recommend having a snack right before you go. It's easier to say no thank you if you're not starving! I found that I had to tell my parents and siblings about the diet because they ask too many questions for it to be a secret. They would have ended up worrying about us if we kept not eating for no reason!

My two favorite things to eat on this diet are:

milkshake made with 1 cup frozen raspberries, 1 tsp sugar (it takes getting used to before it tastes good with so little sugar, but by now I love it), and 1 cup milk. It's delicious!

greek vanilla yogurt with dry curd cottage cheese and fresh raspberries or strawberries. This is my absolute favorite thing right now. My husband loves it too. It reminds us of cheesecake! Mmmm....

Oooh I haven't tried any diets because I have to do IVF, but that diet would not work for me! I'm vegan though, I wonder if the people who create the diets take stuff like that into consideration? Good luck with yours, I hope it gets easier and works for you!
