Hi girls,

This afternoon I had an u/s due to some brown blood loss. I had 6 pregnancies and have only 1 child (see my signature below). According to calculation I should be 8.2 weeks pregnant. My uturus has the size of 8.4 weeks but the baby only 7.3 weeks. Also the tech had to look and look for a heartbeat which she finally found. I thought that a heartbeat was something you just see at this gestation??

Please can someone tell me if these things are normal?

I am so sorry your are going through this. I had the same bleeding problems with my 1st and 3rd pregnancy. I can t remember about the 1st and the 2nd one, but with this new one I know I ve heard a heartbeat of about 100 between 6 and & 7 weeks. We just cannot forget that every pregnancy and every baby are unique and develop at a different rate. I am praying for you and hoping that everything is going to be fine. You deserve a great pregnancy and a wonderful baby! You cannot imagine how you helped me with your "guess" and support. Thank you once again. Will be thinking of you very strong!

thinking about you wendy! brown blod is ol blood, so it could be left over from implantation or someting else. i bled bright red for 3 months with this little guy, everyone told me it was a miscarraige. when i finally went in to make sure my hcg was back down to zero i was shocked ( as was my doctor) to see a 12 week fetus flipping around in there. if they saw a heartbeat thats a good thing. most of the time ladies i know don't go in until 12 weeks. trust me i know everything will scare you until then. hugs, you are doing great!

I think you will be ok as long as have a heart beat. With my lsat full term pregnancy I went in real early around 6 weeks and had trouble finding a heart beat. Then I had severe bleeding, and I mean severe it just poured out of me super heavy and very bright red so I was balling my eyes out thinking I lost my baby well went in for US and this was around 8 weeks and found out was a hemorige and then found out that they could see two sacs now...but heartbeats were very hard to find so they were unsure if any of them were living anymore, so I went back in the next week and low and behold, there was still two sacs and you could see a feint heartbeat on one and a strong heartbeat on the other, I was still pouring blood, I did for months but I had to come back in two weeks later because one of the sacs looked way more developed than the other, sad to say though that the one that was feint heart beat and underdeveloped was no longer in my body two weeks later...But I did have one very healthy little baby after that and the morning sickness stopped after that....But I still think you have strong chances:D right now my baby is measuring bout a week behind due to all my complications but it is still extremely healthy:D So try not to worry and think happy thoughts, seeing/hearing a heartbeat is positive news:D keep us posted and wish you the best of luck. Remember, stress is bad..its a killer...so try not to stress..i know..its hard...I cant even take my own advice lol

I am not a doctor but I have had a total of six pregnancy and 2 were m/c. Pregnancies do differ each time. I have experience some spotting in my second pregnancy and my son is a heathy 6 year old now. And as for the reading of the heart beat, I have also experienced that the heart beat was hard to read at such an early stage in the pregnancy. I would not worry too much, just take it easy and enjoy your pregnany.
