When will I ovulate? Help with the Ovacue please, Michaela!

Hi there!  This forum is amazingly informative, thank you so much!  I'm TTC#2 using frozen donor sperm and am on my third month of unmedicated IUIs, so I'm trying to get the timing down.  My problem is trying to figure out when I'll ovulate...I see the ovacue vaginal readings going down, but I never know how far they'll go down, and then I think I might miss my window :(  

 Could you take a look at my readings and tell me what you think?  The stupid monitor had a weirdly high vaginal reading two days ago, which made it say "ovulation confirmed" when I know that's not the case.  I called and spoke to Lynn who agreed I've not ovulated.  (I'm also monitoring my cervix closely, and it just started to open last night).  I'm having EWCM, starting today.  Lynn suggested I do vaginal readings several times a day to help narrow the window for the IUI.  Have you heard of that working?

 I should add that my OPK hasn't gone positive yet.  I"m testing three times a day, so I know I'm not going to miss the surge when it happens!

11/17 O = 306    V = 130 at 11am; p.m.?? (will test tonight)

11/16 0 = 208    V = 224 at 11am; V = 239 at normal p.m. test

11/15 O = 156    V = 257

11/12 O = 265
11/11 O = 197    V = 387

 Oops, I meant a weird LOW 2 days ago, not high reading.  :)

 Your Cue Peak was on 11/8 but I don't know what cycle day that is for you.  Can you list your cycle days as well?  At first I was so confused because you listed your numbers with the latest date first instead of the other way.  LOL!  With a vaginal reading of 130 that is definitely your vaginal low but if you are testing with OPK's 3 times per day then we should know when you will O for sure.  You can take multiple readings per day but it works for some and not for others.  I am curious to see what your vaginal reading will be tonight.  Are your OPK's anywhere close to positive?

 Oh, sorry, I should have listed my cycle days!! :)  I'm on CD13 today.  I have been having a 28 day cycle, and used to ovulate around day 19 but through acupuncture and herbs (or just luck?) it's begun moving up toward day 14....the earliest (I think) it's been is day 15 or 16 so far.  The OPK line is getting darker for sure, but isn't a positive.  Last month I got a double digit vaginal reading, so I think it may still go lower yet.  I'll let you know what my vaginal reading is after tonight's reading.  Thanks!! 

 Okay that helps me out alot.  I think you are getting really close to O with that vaginal reading so make sure you watch that.  Do you only have one shot at the IUI or are do you have multiple vials?  Are you doing home insemination or by an RE?

 I'm going to do 3 IUIs (assuming I feel the timing is right....if I don't have time for 3, I'll do 2).  I was planning to do one 12 hours after the positive OPK and then 12 hours later and the last 12 hours later than that.  Right now I have an appt to pick up thesperm tomorrow afternoon....do you think I should get it in the morning?  I really think it's too early, given my cervix wasn't even fully open last night...usually it's open for a couple of days before O.  So confusing!

 Oh, and the IUIs will be at home by a midwife who specializes in IUIs....I'm lucky in that I don't have to go in to the doctor.

 She's available by phone whenever I need her.  I might call her tonight to give her the head's up that it'll be in the next day or two, depending on the OPK, the cervix, and the vaginal reading tonight. I'll keep you posted!  You're so helpful, thank you!

 Hi Michaela!  My vaginal reading last night as 187....so when compared to the other evening ones, it's still going down and still has a ways to go. Still no positive OPK for me, either.  The cervix is open some but isn't as open as it gets right around ovulation.  I'm worried I'm going to sit around waiting for a positive OPK and then be too late....ugh!

 If you are doing OPK's 3 times per day I can't imagine that you would miss your surge.  Hopefully your reading will go down even more tonight or you get a +OPK soon.  

 I struggle with dehydrating enough before each test....I generally drink a LOT of water, so it's hard to be thirsty for me.  I'm worried my pee is too diluted.  Have you ever heard of that? I'm sure I just need to be more patient.  This is the first month I'm testing so many times a day, and I always get a positive at some point, so it should happen. :)

Well, we're going for it, even though the OPK is still not positive!  My cervix is open, I have tons of EWCF and the ovacue seems right on track.  Yesterday's morning reading was 60, down from 93 the day before and 130 the day before that.  I took an evening reading last night and it was 107, but it wasn't within the normal 2 hours, because I had an IUI and didn't take one after that.  I had my 2nd IUI this morning, and when I did an OPK with my first morning urine it was almost positive, maybe even positive. (I've never had a positive OPK with FMU before).  So, I'm going to do a vaginal reading this afternoon.  I read you have to wait 8 hours after an IUI, and my IUI was at 7am, so I'll check around 3pm.  We have our last IUI scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight.  I hope we have a chance of hitting the window!!  Definitely not too late, I only worry about being too early.  UGH, this is so stressful :(
