If my LP is 10-11 days long, should I try B6 to lengthen it a but?  We have been TTC for 3 months now with no success, which I'm not worried about since I know it can take some time, but I have noticed that my LP seems to be consistenly about 10-11 days.  I never checked it with DS or my m/c, and both times I was preggo the first month, so just wondering if this might be somthing I should try out?  Or is 10-11 days good, and I shouldn't screw with my cycle.....BTW my whole cycle is approx. 26 days, which seems to be shorter then when I got preggo last time (probably 28 days at that time)

Any help would be appreciated....

Do you have a cycle that we could look at? The best lp (they say) is 14 days. I think 10-11 is borderline. It depends on when your temp starts dropping off. If it drops off all of a sudden, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. But if does it slowly, you probably really need the B6. Remember that a baby can implant from early as 6dpo (some say 4) to 12dpo...if you don't have a thick enough lining & it tries to implant late, you won't be able to get pg. make sense?

Sorry I don't have any temp cycles as my thermometer broke the month I started...maybe I should get a new one and check out the temp thing.

Would there be any drawbacks to me taking the B6 anyway?

I think I may actually be 10 this month....I feel like I am borderline....how much does B6 usually lengthen a LP by?  I'm thinking I may try it this month just to see.  I fI could get up to 12-13 days I think that would be better.

I was at 10-11 days lp. After I started taking the B6, mine went to 12.

Can anyone tell me what would be the pros and cons of taking vit B6 vs Vitex? Is one more effective, less side effects....?

When I tried B6 in the past I found it disturbed my sleep, even though I took it in the morning.

I haven't had any side effects from Vitex

Ditto.  I would be THRILLED with a consistent 10 day LP.  Mine is usually around a 9, but anywhere from 6 - 11.  I am taking B6 from O to AF this practice cyle to see if helps....today would make it a 9 day LP so if I don't get my AF tomorrow I will be one happy girl! :)

We're going to go for it.  I spoke with my doc and she said she's not conerned with a 9 day LP, as long as I know I am Ovulating every month (which I have, except for one annovulatory cycle when I was uber stressed out).  If we m/c then I'll probably go see their specialist to get on a progesterone suppository or cream....but just trying out the B6 since it's fine to take without a bloodtest (my doc recommend a bloodtest before taking progesterone).
