If you're naturally acidic, what's your pH?

I'm starting to wonder about all this. I think I may have O'd yesterday. I tested my pH last night and it was 5.5. Aside from eating some specifically girl meals a few times a week, I am not doing anything. I am not taking supplements or anything yet. So is this in the naturally acidic range? How the heck did I get DS if this is my pH? How do I know if my body changed from pregnancy?

I have only tested a couple times in one month.  I was like a 5 during O time.  4.5 normally If I remember correctly.  That was a couple months back and then my dog ate my test strips. Grouchy

I have 2 girls, now I know why.

My ph isn't super acidic, but it seems to naturally be on the lower end (4.5-5.5 most of the time). I don't know what it was for sure when I conceived dd because the ph strips I hadn't weren't that great, but the strips usually turned yellowish when I tested.

Ph isn't everything - I highly doubt it's anywhere close to 100% effective. And 5.5 is a lower ph, but still isn't in the ideal girl range which is under 5. When you conceived your son, you may have been doing other things that helped sway boy, or it could have just been chance/luck that you got a boy rather than girl. (There are always going to be boy and girl sperm vying for the egg no matter how perfectly you sway, and I think luck plays a big role in which sperm "wins.")

I read that the "normal" ph of a woman's vagina is 3.8 to 4.5.  Mine is about a 4 and stays like that even through ovulation.  I would say 5.5 is actually in the high range and you should try and lower it.

Wow!  That's pretty good.  I couldn't budge my ph with diet alone.  I had to use bsf around ovulation.  But the next morning (after 10 hours)what was left in the IC was still had a ph of between 6-7. Hopefully it worked!

I should say though that my saliva and urine ph went up...not that it matters for gender selection but the diet did do something!

i am naturally very acidic, first my ph was 4 now after a month of diet and drinks it went to 5.5 and 5.8 around O . no wonder i have three girls i have heard that you body can change ph after each pregnancy. some people are more acidic when they are young and some are more alkaline when they are young. i am trying really hard to change ph but it doesnt move i think i will have to depend on EW BSF to help my ph ! hope that helps

How do I know if my body changed from pregnancy?

I have tested my CM pH sporatically and it has been between 6.3-7,5 usually. I don't know what I was before I conceived, but I looked at some old urine pHs from like 6 or so years ago and I was a 5 and then I looked at the urine pHs during and after pregnancy and they were all 6.5.

Besides that I have asked a few times on here how else do we know if pregnancy has changed our body chemistry and the answers I got were: do you get yeast infections now and you didn'r before, migraines.

I wonder if temps would be different or CM as far as body chemisty goes, but I am not sure.

I guess I am not even sure - does body chemistry only mean pH or hormones too?

Thanks for your response. That's really interesting. I bet not that many people know their pH from before their previous pregnancies. I haven't experienced any YI or migranes. My body is pretty much what it was before except that I have bad stomach issues now that I never had before my son. The other thing is that I NEVER have cm anymore. I used to get EWCM every month but now, nada, not since he was born. So maybe that IS an indication that my body changed. Interesting.

I think this would mean that your hormones are different and if hormones are a part of body chemisty then this is a very good thing for you. Happy For my own knowledge, did you breastfeed? I am Bfing and I have quite a bit of CM all cycle long and I am hoping it stays that way for me. I am not sure about EWCM because I don't think I have ovulated. But I hope I am not dry when I am finished BFing.

I'm not sure hat my PH was b4 I conceived all my girls. I wish I had known though!

What I do know is that b4 I went on the Supps and diet my PH was 5.5, 6 most days and at O I was lucky if It got as high as 7! Now it's easily an 8 most days and at O it's 9 at least. I'm so pleased this is finally working! :)
