I always wanted at least 2 kids…
After we had our boy Octavio I wasn’t sure about have any more…
But after a couple of years I felt that Octavio has to have a little company…
I have 2 younger brothers and thought wasn’t fear for him to not have any…
Is always good to have brothers/sisters…
My husband is the only son, and since our first one was a BOY he thought we didn’t need any more kids… But I talked him into…

We started to try around October/2008, nothing was happening… I was getting frustrated…
I thought because I was young was going to be so easy to get pregnant… Yeah, good one!! Stupid thoughts…

We tried, tried and tried... Nothing…
Then in the end of April/2009 I decided to schedule an appointment with my Gynecologist to see what was wrong, why I wasn’t getting pregnant… So, my appointment was schedule for May/27/2009…

Well, a couple of weeks before my appointment I started to feel some symptoms of pregnancy… Got a pharmacy test and there was the result – PREGNANT!!

I went to my appointment and it was confirmed – 5 WKS & 2 DAYS PREGNANT!! YEAAAAH!! So happy!!

I told my Gynecologist everything and asked why it took so long… She thought that thru all those months I was putting too much pressure in myself and then when I relaxed and thought she would fix whatever was wrong I got to conceive…

We are all so excited!! My husband and our son are hoping for a boy and I’m hoping for a girl!!
But its health is the most important thing, right?? God knows what he does…

June 25th I had my first u/s done – 9 ½ wks… It was so cute!!

July 15th I went for my 1st Trimester Screening test – 12 ½ wks…
At my first pregnancy at 13 wks & 4 days we were told we were having a boy, and it was right!!
So we were waiting to hear something this time too… But the u/s tech didn’t want to say anything about the gender…
She took a toilet picture and told us to guess…
Well, since we didn’t know anything about the “nub theory”, our first thoughts was a boy… Hahahaha…
I wished we knew about it that day, had so many great pictures on the screen, probably we would be able to guess the gender… Oh well…
Thanks God the test result was great!! Everything is going good with our little one!!

Now we are waiting for my next u/s in 4 more wks – September/08/2009… I’ll be 20 wks & 2 days!!

We can’t wait to find out!! I hope the Baby collaborate and let us to see between its legs…

Baby # 2 - 9 ½ Wks

I got pregnant in the beginning of July (right after our Civil Marriage in March).
We went to Brazil for our Wedding in September, I was around 13 wks pregnant...
I waited to get in Brazil to tell everyone over there, was a big surprise, especially to my parents since it was the first grandkid in the family…
There I did an ultrasound, I was getting “wet” all of the time and wasn’t sure if something was wrong… It was just “pee” though, thanks God!! Hahahaha…
The u/s tech in Brazil said it was a BOY, we were really surprised because we couldn’t imagine that they would be able to tell so early!!
Some people didn’t believe too much... But back at home we did another u/s and it was really a BOY!!

The due date was supposed to be March 22nd, 2006… I couldn’t wait!!
Then March 22nd came and nothing happened… I was so anxious…
He ended up coming out 2 wks later… I had to be induced to start the labor…
I didn’t feel any pain at all (I got the epidural), but it was a really difficult labor…
I was pushing for at least 2 hours… By the end my face was all swelled…
My Baby’s left hand was in his mouth causing his shoulder to be stuck in the birth canal blocking his way out…
My Dr. decided to pull him out with a suction device instead of a cesarean section… I also had an episiotomy… It work out great and I’m glad she did it!! Imagine go through all that pushing and had to have a c-section at the end…
Right after when he came out I had to deliver the placenta and I couldn’t see him, it was really quick…
I got scared since they didn’t let me see him and took him way, but my husband calmed me down and told me that everything was ok!! I was really tired but I recovered very quickly… 
I little bit after I was able to see and hold him for the first time… I couldn’t believe he was finally in my arms… Was the best feeling in the world!! Was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen… Was worth the sacrifice, I would go through all that again or much more for my little one!!
My Baby was born April 4th, 2006 at 1:02pm with 8lb and 4oz… Beautiful and health, thanks God!!
We named him Octavio, and he is our life!!

When I got here in the US in October/2004 me and Brian were already friends...
Took a little while until we found out that we were truly in love...
We really started dating in the beginning of January and not so long after Brian asked me to marry him...
My parents over in Brazil were shocked with my decision...
I was going to turn 20 years old... Dad's little girl were getting married and planning to live in other country for the rest of her life...
And was this what happened...
We got married here in the Town Hall (Rochester/NY) in 3/22/2005 and our wedding was in Brazil 6 months later in 9/09/2005.
I ended up getting pregnant in the beginning of July, right after our civil marriage in March...

Long story short...

I'm Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro...
My Aunt Denise lives in the US for last 20 years, she came when she was 9 years old...
She came to live with her older sister, who was married with an American and had 2 kids together...

Years and years went by...
When I was 15 I wanted to come to visit... But my Dad didn't let me...

More years went by, and when I was 19 (2004) I was decided to come to the US to study English for a couple of months in my College break...

My Aunt Denise in 2004 in one of her visits to Brazil brought her boyfriend Ahmet and his best friend Brian...
Me and Brian became friends, and there was when "everything started and we didn't know"...
They were there for 2 weeks in August, and I came right after in October...
